New YT channel layout in use!?

Hey everyone, I recently checked several channels with new layout, my personal opinion is that functionality comes first! There are still some divided opinion about it, and i am interested to hear what do you think after you see it in use?
 
I'm using Onechannel now and it fits alot better with the style on youtube, yes it misses the banner, but this new channel layout makes the difference between network partner and youtube partner alot smaller because there are no banners anymore. For the rest it's easier to post channel comments again and to get into contact with other people.
 
It looks more professional and is probably something I will switch to this weekend, however the lack of customisable background and what seems to be a more confusing layout is bothering me.

It may be just another; get used to it over time, thing but I'm not sure why they would take out things like the editable background, as they added a whole new level of customization.

I actually also agreed about the background at first, however, im wondering if the banner will have stronger effect on audience?

Possibly, another point is what do partners get now. The banner was a symbol, an identifier to say "I'm Partnered" but now everyone gets one?

We were just saying they would wait until a monday to switch and not the end of the week .. then I ate a huge plate of Nachos .. passed out for a couple hours .. and woke up with the notice to opt-in. I was excited for it and I'm lovin the layout. Functionality is my #1 concern with anything and the new YT does that for me.
