haha yep started a month ago channels have been loosing millions of views.. yourdailylaughs lost 200 mill views from it

That's actually sensible and yeah I've also noticed it before. I have a question though, does this only effect bigger channels? Or how do they select the channels to audit the views?

i think thats good because why u wanna have views that u no longer have? if u deleted a video why keep the views? if a video is private so r the views. so in my opinion is a good thing.

I disagree with this. If you uploaded a video and were viewed, it should stlil count. Furthermore, this action of measuring "real views" encourages people to instead bot their current views, which is counterproductive to what they want. Bad move on their part, in my opinion.

One reason that it is a good idea is because people get inflated numbers for their channel for using copyrighted content. Then they get flagged and remove the video. If the video shouldn't be counted as being their video, then the views shouldn't count either.
