New video, how much progress did I make?

Hello everyone!

It been awhile, and I had uploaded many more videos. I wanna have some feedback on the new videos. I think I'm more comfortable in front of a camera now. Though it may still seem a bit awkward but it's something I'm slowly adjusting to. It's hard to walk around with a giant DSLR with a giant mic pointed at you selfie style. I also need to try to get better at holding my camera. I feel like there's too much shake for my liking, although some shake looks pretty cool with the shots that I provide. Also, I should invest in some lighting for my room so it don't always look so dark. I'm getting better with manual focusing. The autofocus is fine on my camera but sometimes it loses track...

Any additional feedback would greatly be appreciated! Thanks again YTTALK!

This was really good I actually really enjoyed watching this as for feedback I'd just say keep up the good work not sure on where you can improve as this was great! If you are worried about lightening depending on what software you use to edit you can adjust the lightening on it. I use Final Cut Pro and you can balance the lightening and it helps to brighten things up.

idk about vlog much but i think if ur shakign too much when holding..use the selfie stick?? the stick idk LOL
my country youtubers once said use that XD
Its a good VLOG..not that long

Yeah but I don't want to rely on software lighting. It introduces more noise into the picture and ruins it! Thanks for your positive feedback! I really appreciate it![DOUBLEPOST=1464056317,1464056233][/DOUBLEPOST]

Yeah sorry about the shake. I was trying my best not to look dumb in public with such a big camera. Im starting to get over that fear and I'm just going to own up to the camera. If i keep my hand straight and flexed it'll be more stable. Hopefully....Thanks for the positive feedback! I very much appreciate your time

I really enjoyed this. You didn't seem awkward to me but the shaking was a little much at times. Maybe one of those counter weight contraptions would help when walking. I'm super new at this so I don't have much advice but since you mentioned IKEA in the video and lighting in the post- I use this little trick for my photography so it should work for video. When you go to ikea get a few pendant light chords (Hemma) and some white paper lanterns (regolit) and you have a $9 portable soft light - you need a bulb clearly but $9 for the basics. Add some tinfoil inside to direct your light more if needed. Pack it up when your done and bring it along if you need it. I use 4 when shooting stills two on each side of the camera stacked plus any other direct lighting I need. Only thing is you need a hook but a small hook in the ceiling or on a wall works just fine. Cheap alternative to a light kit
Good video though!

oh wow that sounds like a good idea. It's like a diy softbox! I'll definitely give it a shot. Thanks for the "dont seem awkward" that means I'm getting better at this! I agree it seems like the shaking is a bit much. It may be because of my new york legs (i walk really fast) and me not holding the camera confidently. I'll do this going forward! Thanks so much for your time :)

The one good thing about being a New Yorker is literally no one cares if your walking around with a camera pointed at yourself. It's certainly not going to be the strangest thing that they happened to see that day

that's so true. I mean I see people staring at me and my setup but they just keep on moving and guess what I'LL NEVER SEE THEM AGAIN! well not never...

Thanks! I think this was the adjustment period for me. I'm more comfortable with it now. Though I still avoid pointing the camera at me selfie style to vlog in crowded streets but that's my overall goal!
