Well if you look on any video making forum or tutorial your audio is something you worry about the most. Most people can sit through a video and watch grainy footage and good audio rather then good footage and bad audio. If you stay with your folks go mow lawns or do things around the house until you save enough for one. I went to amazon and got a blue snowball mic for about 40 bucks and that pretty cheap compared to others and its a really good mic.

Yep yep! I can attest to this, when I had really grainy video but my audio was ok, people were like "man wish you had a better camera but it's ok" But when I had to use this webcam that had terrible audio too people were like "omg I can't take the ear rape!!"

I need some help choosing a new mic. My price range is very low (and I mean VERY low, like $14 or less) but I want to get the best bang for my buck. I've narrowed it down to these two: dx.com/p/transhine-pc-308-computer-microphone-silver-black-176305 and dx.com/p/oakorn-ok-101-stereo-headphone-w-microphone-black-golden-163310

I know nothing about audio or how to determine what's better than what, which is why I need the help of the kind people here at yttalk. If possible can you also tell me how to determine good from bad so i can figure this out on my own in the future? thanks to all who help out! :D

I literally just bought a Blue Snowball on amazon for $55 and I had no money to get a mic so here's how I got it. I went on Amazon Mechanical Turk (mturk.com), did a bunch of surveys and questionnaires (which most were fun) until I got over $55 then bought my mic. It took about 3 or 4 days where I did them in my free time which I usually just wasted watching youtube videos anyway so it was so worth the time spent!

Theres all different kinds of things to do on there for money. Just have to find what you are able to do. The surveys are usually the easiest to do. No credit card, they pay you.

How do i find which ones are surveys? and how do they pay me?
I don't think you want to really do the survey thing.

Most that I know of are scams and or pay you very little--I'm talking cents or a dollar. You'd have to do several hundred surveys to get to $55.00. Most surveys also require you to sign up for some sort of subscription or you won't reach the 'pay' screen. The one Pete is talking about could be different but I'm certain 90% of paying survey companies are frauds. Be careful.

Well. The apple earpods (apple's newish earphones) with the remote and mic in my opinion. I have used the mic on it before and it sounds great!
