I got a sneak peek at the new format 2 weeks ago. It's based on the current design and it's actually pretty cool. The idea is to bring elements from your channel page (the branding) onto the front page when someone clicks on your channel. There's going to be a few design tweaks, so you'll have to make some adjustments as they roll out the changes-the version I saw wasn't completely done, so I'm sure there's changes that I haven't seen yet.

Do you have a screenshot you could share?? It could be a YTTalk exclusive!

I don't think this is the new channel. I'm pretty sure that's just the channel preview you get when you click on a username from the guide. You can even see in the screenshots that this is an overlay over other existing pages. The new channel design would be what you see when you go to youtube(.)com/username

Yup... go to the guide, click Browse channels, then preview and you will already get that popup.

Ahh, well. That's just what I got from 'new layout jan 31 2013' google search. Those were posted 12 hrs ago oops sorry I'm a noob.
