New Laptop

Hey guys,

So I should hopefully be getting a new laptop soon. No budget has been set yet but I'm not paying for it, so I wouldn't want it to go beyond €500. I'd like a MacBook but I don't want to push my luck, haha! Basically I'll need it to have a load of memory, be able to run all of Creative Cloud quickly and smoothly (aka no lag) and I'd prefer it to have a webcam. I'll be travelling with it a lot too so bonus points for being light!

Anybody any recommendations?
 
You're not going to get a Mac for that price, they start at pretty much double that :/
A good laptop for 500e is going to be hard to find, you'd be better off building a laptop. Try laptopsdirect.co.uk, some good deals there. Where you located?

Creative cloud consumes quite a bit of memory & processor speed, if your aim is to have them run fast, I would recommend a desktop you can also upgrade. Or a gaming laptop with a relatively fast graphics card and tons of memory. Anytime budget is an issue, I'd strongly recommend to stay away from macs since you pay a luxury tax on it. Can get a PC that will do more things faster for half the price.

You can have two of the three, but not all: mobility, cheap, fast.
