Thought people might say that. I'd love one but they are quite costly and I don't have that type of money at the moment. plus I'm unemployed

Well my advise is don't go for a mac thingy because they're quite expensive and give the same experiance as the laptop I have for 700€. Just try to find something for 500€ I know some ASUS laptops are good priced. I have a Dell myself, but at this moment I don't see any good deals on Dell, so I would not recommend that.

Interesting... but would you take something where you will be STUCK on and cant modify at all? i wouldnt want to go to apple each time just to get a battery replaces or even a HDD.

Its upto you, i know macs can do some amazing things, but it all depends on what you want to achieve. a device where you can play a bit with or something that goes.. here you go.... deal with it :)[DOUBLEPOST=1378927916,1378927881][/DOUBLEPOST]
Mac OS is less CPU intense and apps run faster on it.
and do you know why they use less CPU?

I build all my PC's. I love how much you can customize it all and how it's a third the cost to build something as powerful as a mac. Not to mention you can play games on them xD
I'm on your side with this I just thought that the picture applies here.

Because the OS requires less...

Because the OS requires less...
well yes, thats because you cant do anything more with that OS. Windows HAS to run options which mac doesnt as programmers dont program for them.
Thats why we can play more games as mac is to hesitant with its OS. not saying its bad, but hey, your money not mine.

OS X Lion system requirements

To use Lion, make sure your computer has the following:

  • An Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
  • Mac OS X v10.6.6 or later to install via the Mac App Store (v10.6.8 recommended); you can install without Mac OS X v10.6 by using an OS X Lion USB Thumb Drive, available on the Apple Online Store
  • 7 GB of available disk space
  • 2 GB of RAM
If you want to run Windows 7 on your PC, here's what it takes:
  • 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
  • 1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
  • 16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
  • DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver

The only big difference is it takes more space on a harddrive on PC.
However if you are running 32 bit windows has less requirements for ram.
And 1 GHz of CPU is next to nothing.
Mac is very vague with their CPU requirements.
