New Game Commentary Channel

Hey everyone, I was just wondering if you guys could review my channel? :)
I am looking for a new backround cause I find it to dark? do you agree?
Also do you think my voice is clear enough? I wasn't super comfortable at the beginning but I'm definably getting more comfortable now.

Any advice as to how to improve my channel and any feedback positive or negative is always appreciated :)

Your channel:

Personally I would go for a background that matches your new icon or the other way around, so theyre quite similar as the turquoise doesnt match the other greens. Other than the colour I think the background looks great, dark is what people tend to expect with gaming websites, channels and so on. Your channel is set up well too, if you are going to be doing lets plays you could have all of the lets plays in one playlist or each game in its own playlist if you are going to be doing many different games. If you are going to do walkthroughs or tutorials then having them separate is always good.

Your videos:

I checked out your latest video there, the Minecraft one and the audio seemed fine to me, the only thing I didnt like was how your keyboard was picked up by the mic a lot and your mouse clicks, if you can find a way to record without them being picked up so much it would be better.

I would try and record the video in higher quality if you can, I tend to watch a lot of videos full screen and yours are very blurry and pixelated when I maximise the video.

Other than those things I think everything is fine and your commentary seems good to me. I aint no expert on gaming videos however so hopefully someone else can chime in here with what they think :)

Good luck!

Thanks alot for the review Michael, ya I was actually just messing around with GIMP to see if i could incorporate the new icon you made for me for like a new cool background, so far it looks awful :P hehe

I use my HD webcam which picks up way to much audio from the keyboard which bugs me to :P I'm going to invest in a new mic tho soon :) the quality thing is actually interesting that you bring that up :P

I capture in 1920x1080 but for some reason every time I try to encode it to make it smaller from adobe encoder it always comes out super crappy. so I got this program called handbrake which encodes really well I am starting to record my gameplays in 1280x720 and then encoding them using the handbrake program.

I find when i use adobe premiere pro cs3 tho when i go to save the file it always comes out HUGE so i have to compress it :( But im going to try a skyrim qaulity test tonight and post it and i will let you know and you can tell me if its any better :)

Do you have any idea why my files are so big when i export movie from Premiere pro?

Hey,

I just made a quick little video and encoded it using that handbrake program, the file size reduced dramitically and it still at 1080x720 :) heres the link and I hope it's better qaulity :)

Let me know what you think thanks alot :)

I have replied to your thread about the settings although I cant give any specific settings:

That video is definitely 100% better, I hope you get the filesize thing sorted out.

Ya I tried Just encoding with a separate software and didn't put it into adobe premiere pro just straight to YouTube after encoding so I just have to figure that out today and I should be golden :D

Oh ya and the filesize with the encoder I used went from 0.98gb to 23.3mb so thats a big change in size:D
