New copyright policy?

Mate, I was not attempting to give myself a strike, but to give myself "Blocked" video globally blocked videos, which is not in a violation in anyway, you just delete them and it's fine. But with the new policy they are saying that block counts as a strike. Which I just wanted to try... And it doesn't seem like the block is like a strike.
But if your video is blocked worldwide, it counts as a third-party strike. (it doesn't count if the video isn't globally blocked)

A

A third party strike? What is that?
"If a copyright owner uses Content ID to claim and block your video worldwide, you’ll be warned that your account is in danger of falling into bad standing. If you receive a second global Content ID block within 30 days, your account will fall into bad standing. The penalty associated with each global block expires after 30 days. If you believe that a video has been blocked in error, you may dispute the associated claim. Keep in mind, invalid disputes can result in copyright strikes"

A bit of misinformation in this thread.

Within ContentID, content owners can set one of 3 settings. Track, monetize or block. These are automated settings which simply force the policy in each case. You cannot get an automated copyright strike, so a block via ContentID is only that, a block. If the content owner chooses to issue a DMCA takedown notice on the video as well, then you will receive a copyright strike.

That said, I have no further advice or information to provide. It's clear that the only reason to do what the OP is doing, is to test the limits of the matching system in hopes of circumventing it later on, an action I cannot support in any way.

Honestly that's just ridiculous, like you don't even know what I'm asking for? Am asking if the new policy is true about blocked content, and cause there is no real answer anywhere I tried to figure it out for myself so before talking BS start thinking.[DOUBLEPOST=1415036061,1415036019][/DOUBLEPOST]E

Monetization is removed for 3 strikes. Copyright strikes and ContentID Blocks are not the same thing. Is that really so hard to comprehend? I provided you the answer to your question, whether it is the answer you want to hear or not is irrelevant.

Well can you freaking read and see that there is a new policy?!

Can you link me please to this new "policy"?

He's talking about the Monetization Suspension article that Markkaz posted from Fullscreen. It mentions nothing about 3 worldwide blocks, but rather uses the term "excessive", nor is monetization removal instant but occurs after 40 days. YouTube has also not publicly made this change yet.

So what you're saying is that the rule has yet to be active? And that blocks has nothing to do with it?
