New channel, how to gauge views?

Hi There,

I started my channel about twelve days ago now and have 136 views spread over about eight video's. Does google have a bot that randomly views video's that may affect my view count?

I've done next to no advertising, so I am not sure if these are legitimate views or not.

If you're not botting yoruself, it's unlikely anybody else is, especially this early in your career. perhaps your videos are just good? haha, that's not an unrealistic number of views is it? i wouldn't worry about it basically. :)
 
Oh, I'm not worried. I just wasn't too sure if Google used bots to trawl through youtube the same way they do for forums searching for keywords to use in the search engine.

My video's aren't good, I just dribble on while I play games :D
 
they're legit views unless you've watched each of your videos 136 times! XD and no, Google doesn't crawl through videos, they can monitor them through algorithms and different techniques, they don't affect your view count!
 
You need to do your research and look for a gap in the market (Gotta love GCSE Business)

If you find something that hasn't been done, Get in there and do it the best you can :)
 
Well, one of my video's just doubled my view count over night. 237 views for one video, in one day.... lol
