Network Suggestion Help

Critiots!!

Hollywood Haragos
Hello folks,

My friends and myself have created a relatively new gaming channel on the youtube and we've been approached by a TGN representative about joining their network. He was very friendly and even commented about our videos. We are rather new to this and I know there are many many youtube network possibilities out there so I was wondering if anyone would be willing to give me their input and suggestions. Money is always important but I want to grow are channel with views and subscriptions so that is the most important thing to me at the current time.

I've seen so many conflicting data for each. There are a few that have caught my attention.

1. TGN
2. Creative Nation
3. Curse (although I don't think we have the numbers)
4. Freedom
5. Machinima (Heard tons of negative)

If there other others that you feel are a better then by all means please let me know and I can try to look into them.

From what I've seen of networks Curse may be the one to go for. Isn't it like 500 subs and 1000 monthly video views or something like that? I've heard that Freedom is pretty good too. Quick glances at each networks websites can be hepful, such as Freedom offers 60% ad revenue share which is lower than the average 80% I think regular share is but with perks and growth leading to 110% revenue share. I'd say Curse or Freedom but take others suggestions in too.

Freedom and Machinima are the only two I'd avoid. The other three are all better options, just make sure you never sign for more than a year.

Why would you even want to join a network?
I thought about joining a network before.....but now i have realized that joining a networrk is not worth it , unless you are singing covers or such.....

Networks provide a lot of protection against what happens on YouTube, invalid click activity, complaints and reports made against your channel, content id claims, fraud claims. They're very useful imo

Exactly what he said and also to help grow the channel! Like I said I'm not super worried about the money aspect of it for the time being but I've seen some growth of channels due to partnerships by leaps in only a few months.

To have more ad types on your channel[DOUBLEPOST=1410350604,1410350485][/DOUBLEPOST]

Protection? I wonder how MCN can help to resolve issues with, for example, invalid clicks or strikes?

Thanks guys for the input I am going to attempt to do a little more research on the subject and find what will fit best with what we want to do currently with our channel. I appreciate the comments and I will no doubt use this forum in the future. Very helpful![DOUBLEPOST=1410371455,1410354965][/DOUBLEPOST]Talked to TGN a bit more and they seems alright the only thing that kinda got me stopping is they pretty much said the only way the help promote is through Twitter. I don't know how super effective that is. This is a little stressful when your talking 10 - 1 year contracts.

Sorry but you don't reach the requirements for Curse, they are pretty strict (1000 subscribers & 4000 monthly views, or 8000 monthly views)
Not sure about TGN, but just make sure not to sign a long contract.
Dont even try joining Machinima, if you've been on this forum for a month you'd know many people don't like Machinima :D
Creative Nation is like Curse with less strict requirements and a 10 month contract. (you dont have to be a gaming channel)
and I can't speak for Freedom because I'll be bias about it.
If I were you I'd hold out on getting a partnership, keep doing what you're doing though, its getting views :O

Freedom! is pretty good, but I hear a lot of people complain about it. I am probably a little biased because I am part of a Freedom! sub-network, but I have been targeted by other networks. From what I've researched, Curse, Freedom!, and Fullscreen are probably the best options for starting out. That's just what I've seen from Internet research, but who knows, I may be wrong.
