Need to try a free video editor

yttalk(dot)com/threads/video-editing-software-list.837/

It talks about all the different video editors, so give it a read. :smileyphones:
Also, this thread was stickied in the section this is in, this is why it's always good to look around before posting.

Thats just a list of editors, no info at all about them no first hand experience with any of them. Now dont get me wrong now i have a list but im not going to DL each one and try it out, id rather here some first hand info from people on here that curretly use them

Well, why not do a google search of each one to learn of their features and maybe read a few reviews by people who already tried them out?

Sorry for trying to helpful then.

With that attitude though, I don't think anyone would want to help you.

Sorry I asked for some help and advise on this forum. Being told to go elsewhere is and was not helpful in the least. Pointing out the sticky on the other hand was and I appreciate it. But like I said i am looking for first hand experience from people on this forum. So unless that is what is being brought to the table a post shouldnt be made.

I've really only ever used Windows Live Movie Maker, which is free, but it's like the bare basics, really nothing too fancy but it's alright for most things. Another good program is Sony Vegas, you can get a free trial but it has a lot of cool fancy tricks! Unfortunately those are the only video editing programs I've used (other than my computer's default Windows Movie Maker, which always seems to crash on me).

And I hate saying it since you're wanting first-hand feedback from this community, but I would suggest looking up some videos on YouTube about good free editor programs. Lots of videos will give you a review and a quick rundown of what it can do, and it's also helpful to watch a beginner tutorial so you can see the interface for yourself and how simple/complicated it is before downloading! :)

Okay. Here's the deal. I've tried about every free one out there and they all suck. If you can't get by with Windows Movie Maker get something like cyberlink powerdirector for 60 bucks or get it by other means however you wanna go about getting it (hint hint nudge nudge). Either way. I use Cyberlink and I paid for it because pirating video editing stuff is a b***h and just gives me a migrane.
