Need some help with elgato game capture

So I had my elgato set up and working fine for a while. Then I had to unplug my monitor cause I wanted a bigger monitor to watch some movies on my PC. I plugged it back in and it won't play through the monitor now. I re did all the steps I did last time but it still won't work. Here's a quick vid showing it. Just add to YT url watch?v=05ZB82p5mYs
 
Even if the software is displaying a preview it can still be a problem with the Elgato as the preview you seeing is being output via the USB not the HDMI cable so there's a problem with the pass through. There's also the possibility that there's an issue with the signal conversion between the HDMI and DVI because you're already passing through another source.
Is the Monitor the absolute only thing you changed when you replaced it?
Juding from your process of elmination it could be the Elgato.
Have you tried the Elgato on another TV to verify it isn't the Elgato?
Does the monitor have a HDMI port on it for you to plug the Elgato into instead of using a HDMI-DVI cable?
 
You may need to refresh the source of capture on the elgato software I personally use a HD PVR 2 ao it may be different for the elgato but it might work if you can refresh the capture source.

thanks for the help. Yeah I've tried that. I'm completely clueless on what the problem is.
