I believe HitFilm launched a Kickstarter to try and get their program Mac compatible. So maybe stay posted on that because I've heard HitFilm is a good program.
After Effect Cs6 is the best to go for... I've used it for VFX for college work and it's pretty daym awesome. I wouldn't bother with Sony Vegas because AE does everything 100x better.
