Need help with ways to promote and SEO

I was wondering if someone would be willing to help me since I really can not understand how the seo system works on youtube since once it went well then all of a sudden its gone down the pan and not too many views yet i get subs, as well whats the best system to use to advertise on social media like google + and reddit.

I believe there are a few videos on YT explaining how the SEO works. I'm not an expert on SEO but I'm assuming it's very similar if not the same as Googles. One thing I do know about YT's SEO is watch time. The longer the amount of watch time on a video - the higher it will rank in the search results. Not really sure if that answered your first question... As for promotion; sites like Twitter, Facebook YTTalk, Tumblr etc. are all good sites for promotion. The way to go about promoting your stuff is probably the hardest part. Most people hate other people who self promote so I guess just try and be polite and discrete when doing it. Again, I don't know if you this answered your question but I sure hope I helped

reddit can drive pretty decent traffic. and SEO is simple, at some point your video must gather views from search, but serious traffic comes after getting views and reputation so , ranking in the suggested videos.

The one thing about promoting yourself on Reddit is that they really frown upon self promotion. There are subreddits that are specifically for that but you're competing with multiple others. I think the best way to promote on Reddit is to do it discretely... Not sure how one would go about doing that but that's what I would suggest.

For SEO just experiment and change tags, titles, and description and then search for basic stuff to see if you rank on the front page. As far as promoting videos, search for some of my old threads, I always share here when I find a new way to get videos out there.
