YTTalk's Old School Gamer
Okay so im not sure if this is the right forum to post this in but if not hen im sure one of the mods can move it for me pls :)

right, so i have had my channel for about 4/5 months now and for the past 3 months i haven't been able o upload anything as my laptop had broken. at the start my channel was growing quite fast for a gaming channel but now that i have returned it seems that pretty much all of my subscribers are dead/inactive :( so i don't know what to do...

a part of me wants to carry on with the channel but the other part wants a completely fresh start and to gain more active subscribers. i already have set up another youtube channel (but posted no videos).

i want to know if any of you have had this same dilemma and if so what course of action did you take?

Thankyou
ES

You could go either way.. Basically if you restart your old one it will be like starting from scratch like the phoenix rising from the flames. Its up to you..

I think I would continue on the current channel. The viewers seemed to enjoy your content if your channel was growing fast. You probably created an identifiable style with your videos and I would continue on the same track. Make a video where you explain the situation and tell them you will be active again. Then just keep posting videos and hope your subscribers will wake up again and that you will find new viewers!

Yeah I'd go with adding to your old channel, just explain to your old subscribers what happened and start posting new videos.

If you start a new channel the problem is that your channel will be nearly empty, but if you continue with your old channel people will be able to go back and watch your old videos

:)

Yeah, I'd keep going with the old channel. Even if just 10% of the subs start watching again, that's more than if you start from scratch. Whatever you do, don't make a long sob story video as your next video, it'll just annoy people even more lol. Just a very quick sorry and then move on :)

(Moved to the strategy / technique forum :) )

Do you like your old content? From what you're saying it seems like your subscribers did. If you still do I would keep the old channel so people can still see those videos. If you start a new channel the old content will be lost.
