Need help improving my audio quality

Hey guys, I just wanted to see if anyone knew how I could fix the quality of my audio for my videos. I have a decent microphone, Blue Yeti, and when I record outside of a game it's perfectly fine. My main issue is that as soon as I start recording while playing a game, the input volume keeps automatically going up which causes my voice volume to go crazy high which distorts it and it sounds horrible. I use Audacity to record my voice, and Mirillis! Action to record my games. Just wanted to see if anyone knew how I could stop it automatically adjusting the input volume.

So you say it's fine whenever you record your voice outside of games?

I used Audacity a fair bit in my days, but it never did anything of the sort, so it's hard to say, really.

Does it distort your voice to the point you can't lower the volume of your voice track in post process?
 
That's weird, if you're using Audacity it shouldn't automatically increase volume. Is there a setting in Mirillis by any chance that says something along the lines of "reduce gameplay audio when voice is deceted"?
If there isn't anything like that, try reducing the gain on the Yeti if it isn't already, I generally turn the notch about 45degrees of the way from it's lowest gain setting, you shouldn't need to go more than 90 degrees, especially since the mic should about a hands length away from your mouth or 7-8 inches away, if doing solo commentary. On windows I have the mic gain set to 50, which I'm assuming is the 1 that's being automatically adjusted and I can only think of Mirillis doing it but I've never used that software sadly. Even at max gain I don't think it should be distorted.

It's always best to have the gains lower (I remeber some people on here actually have the gain set to 0 on the Yeti) and fix the rest of the audio with Audacity:

I think this could solve it.
Go to Control Panel, Sound, then click the communications tab and select "Do Nothing".
