Hello fellow YouTubers!
Like the title suggest.. I am in [desperate] need of finding a unique video I've clumsily lost url address to. I feel terrible about it and my own search for it has so far lead me nowhere.
Asking here, I sense, is my last chance to retrieve the URL once more - on the no.1 YT Forum.
This actually gives me a slight of hope, and can only wish there will be enough enthusiasts & luck in the hunting of this video...
A bit of history:
When I was on one of those YT spree sessions we all either hate(but still love?) or enjoy, it is known you can go from eg. music videos --> weird pranks ..lol, just in a few clicks, and that was precisely what I was doing during my spree session: jumping between various of areas and clicked my way through with no real intention. Somehow I got into the "scary" area of videos and it was around here I shortly after found the now lost YT clip.
This was maybe 7-8 months back (early this year I'm positive).
How I lost it:
When I first watched it I really thought it was such a nice video that I never closed the browser tab containing it but saved it for later to re-watch it, and continued my spree on other tabs.
Well, when done I did saw it again and it was late and I was tired....but the video spoke to me deeply....damn this one is special I thought!.....and had to see it a couple of more times. I thought I leave it there in the browser for some time (not uncommon for me to do) so I could always have fast access to it and watch it whenever I felt.
The more I watched, the more I started to really favor it.
Yeah, I was going to eventually "save it" but I kept thinking I could do that later.
Had it up for about 1 week I think and pretty much played it at least 1 time per day then my pc received a power-cut and computer was shut down. No biggie, I thought. Since I use google chrome it will auto load tabs open if an abrupt shutdown or crash occurs. But this time it never did, and I must assume it was because I had chrome open up for too long and that it updated the chrome once I loaded the browser and the interference "somehow" never loaded those saved web pages. (I can confirm that wasn't the first time..)
But anyways, I knew obviously the video url was still saved in my Browser History (not in my youtube history unfortunately; since I wasn't logged in at the time) and I had already came to love it, so had no reason really to load it back up right away [thou I wish I had].
Always knowing in the back of my mind that the video was there in the history was comfort enough - and my biggest mistake - so I could take care of other matters and load it back up, simply another time. Never anticipated the next move thou...
Not having it saved other than a simple url address in the browser history, the worst possible thing happened. Somehow, and I dunno how, all my history from google chrome was shortly after completely vanished ... and I never were able to do the crucial thing: save the video properly.
Funny thing thou, I noticed this "incident" first several months later, and history was shown from april this year and forward. Ergo my video didn't make it....it was most likely discovered in Feb./Mar. ... ty google
Video Explanation:
From my YT spree I had reached the "scary" area of videos, as previously stated. On the 'featured list' to the Right of a YT video you get similar video options, somewhat, and from there I eventually found "my missing video".
I don't think it was "sponsor highlighted" and I remember it was probably high on that list.
But let me first talk a bit of the scary area I've mentioned.
I had watched couples of videos dealing with ...I don't know, death-related stuff you could say. Videos with warnings like: if you see this you will DIE (like cursed photos, lol....I actually saw one....guess what, I never died
) and to scary pranks or to videos you have to stare at a still room and at the end a scary moment pops up. I especially recall one that I haven't been able to find as well. If I at least find it, I'd be on the right track for sure. It's about the video I watched and you would die if you did so.
It's about a little girl, captured on an old photo, that looks quite evil and in video description was told she was burned to death in a house and the photo survived the fire or SMTH along that way. Then it is said to whjoever looks at the picture will die shortly after cause photo is cursed from her soul. Well, maybe true! But like one pointed out in the comments maybe you have to see it for real, and not in a you tube video for it to count. Or maybe it's just a fake story!
If Someone can actually find this video along or similar ones, please let me know. 'Cause it's from here I shortly after found the other video in the featured list.
Now about the video that matters.
I can't recall the name on it....sorry. It could be smth like:
What can you see/feel in this picture/photo?
But I really have no idea....didn't pay enough attention back then. Should be smth similar thou.
Can't remember any special tags either.
However,
I remember the length is about 3 minutes, maybe +/- 1 minute.
It's a simple video with really soft nice classical music (with piano or piano alone...can't know for sure as of today.....but really nice classical/piano sort of sad music, maybe bit dark, but definitely very Very nice to listen to) - And a Photograph of a sitting Lady. Simple as that.
Well, I can add that it's not color based photo nor black&white, but rather yellowish? Like old photos are before we had color pictures taken. Dunno what's it called. But it doesn't look old! I mean details are fine and picture looks rather coming from the 70's? 80's or 90's. Looks to be a 15-18year old School girl (a school photograph?). Sorta smiling, or does she?! To me, she looks to be coming from UK (she looks like having a school dress). Image could be manipulated to look old of course. ORRR...on second thoughts, it may be a regular color photo, but it's very toned down and quite dark....so it may look a bit yellowish. On third thought, I'm almost 100% certain it's color based but I reserve myself I might be wrong.
Sorry to confuse. =P
Video starts with music and the picture, ends when music ends. Nothing is added. No special effects. Texts. Other enhancements. Not even slight movements or scary moments at the end. That's why many disliked this video. They came probably from same areas as I was coming from, where they were expecting smth to happen during the playback. Nothing did. So many said the overused: oh you've wasted 3 minutes of my life! Or: boring, nothing happened, what is the point of this video? Others more like me appreciated the video on the other hand and some even found it to be deep and meaningful.
That's why the "like bar" was pretty "equally rated" since people seemed to either hate it or love it! But I think it was more like 60% - 40%. But maybe even closer. And i don't remember if people generally liked it or hated it more.
It's a beautiful video with blissful music and probably the only reason it was listed with others more "non-serious" mystical death/ghost sorta videos was because the uploader explained in the instructions smth along the lines: I found this photo and found to be meaningful to me especially with this music so I thought to share it, tell me what you guys feel, what you find [!] when watching.
Views I don't remember well, maybe a 100.000s ? Could be as well up to 500.000 or maybe it was 50.000. So hard to tell now... I'd say around 100.000 - 300.000 my best guess.
A few here simply MUST have it in their favorites - I'm sure!
It was a popular video enough, with many comments as well, not just a few.
Sorry for immense text. But thought to really provide what you might wanna need to know in order to help out. I'm simply sure some of you have seen it before. Just a feeling..
To all those who will aid me in this YT video hunt I will be immensely grateful. Especially to the one who will relocate it for me - or help me relocate it myself; Eternally grateful!
Finding similar important videos I know I have to save it right from the start. I learnt that the hard way....
Thanks for listening,
Hoping for the best!
