Need a rant topic.

Basically Common Core takes math and breaks it up into steps. And you are REQUIRED to learn some of this stuff using Common Core.
So as a result it is made far more confusing and basically making things harder.
And best of all, some teachers don't even know how to do Common Core, because they learned it the normal way and look at them, they are fine.
Also homework is terrible here in America. While we are trying to become smarter than China, China is making it less stressful to do your school work.
Meanwhile we are making it more stressful.

Question, and please don't take offense; why did you choose to rant about things if you don't have any idea what to rant about? I would think that if ranting was an expression of yourself then you would have subjects that you're passionate about.

I had a few ideas but the point was to avoid offending people. Sometimes the best way to go about it is to see what people want to hear (in a vague sense) and work into that.

The Olympic medal count and distribution

Michael Phelps has won what 21 gold medals now and Bla Bla Bla. But in what sport other than swimming can an individual athlete win more than 2-3 gold medals in one Olympics. While swimmers can almost go in any event a 100m runner can't do the 1500m or shot put etc. then there are the sports that require teams to win and there is only one gold medal. The medal tally is disproportionate and the recognition of swimmers as the greatest Olympians based on medals is ridiculous....

That's a starting point. Script it up because it is a massive topic and perfect time to ruffle some feathers while the games are on.

PS if it goes viral you owe me some PR ;-)

I like your thinking man but I must confess to have only seen what happened to the to the gymnast and his leg (it was gruesome) and nothing else from the Olympics due to not being very sporty or interested in any sports. Oh, and don't worry, any ideas will be credited ;)

Depends on how serious you want to go. If playing it straight you could pick a major news story or do a general topic like American politics, The Olympics, Brexit, or social and economic disparity in the world.

If you want to be a touch lighter than those, you could go with celebrity culture, people that shine their brights in your eyes when driving at night, people that look in the medicine cabinets of others, annoying ringtones, movie adaptions that are never as good as the books, flip flops, etc.

Just make sure you research your topic even if it is lighthearted in tone so you can explain why you hate it. You want to appear knowledgeable in your righteous rage.

Mr.Nova is right, you need to be able to know and make valid points on what you're ranting about otherwise..you just look flat out dumb! But I think you should rant about something that directly/indirectly affects you or your channel, makes it a little more personal ;)
