I don't think you need a change yet you are still new i think if you can find the time you should upload daily as well
but if you still incist on a new avatar i sorry to say but am not the right person for it i am not that good with gimp or photoshop.. i know the basics and can do stuff like on my channel but still not as good as some of the people on the forums i hope you can find a good avatar

Open up notepad and write:
'Hey, my avatar is great, you're going to check my channel out!'
then screenshot it and use it as your avatar.

Hmm... I think you should keep the one you have, or if you do change, change once more and stop. Branding is important. Your avatar is your logo on YouTube, and if you want people to come back to you or click when they see you, you can't be changing it all the time. Give your subscribers consistency! Good luck
