I don't see why people don't just get a regular domain, since they're extremely cheap ($10 a year, I mean come on). Plus, whenever I see a .tk domain, the first thing I think is "wow they don't even have a real domain".

I agree, the only reason this can help is due to yougnins. There are a lot of children on YouTube without proper bank accounts and with parents who wont give them cash online.

This is an easy way to get a domain. I own like 10 .coms. 100$ a year for those is pricey.
 
After so many years, .tk usually smells of cheapness to people who have been on the Internet for quite some time. I would personally avoid it, but that's just my opinion.

I second ThioJoe's post - get a regular domain if you need it, they're very cheap anyway.

You're right, It just personally works for me as my bill every year for domains is already sky high.
