I would like to think that it is from getting noticed by the right people, thus resulting in many more views or getting a shoutout from someone already established on Youtube. 
Yeah, it seems like a fair amount of the audience out there are just into those things rather than the actual content itself..

Getting stuck at 301 only happens for a little while though. This happened overnight. I just woke up and it was like that[DOUBLEPOST=1369842044,1369841962][/DOUBLEPOST]
Well, I experienced something similar. My second video got 2500+ views in half a day (it has 4300+ now) and I haven't had a single video get close to that since
This only several hundred for my last two videos, but it feels strange getting that many views and only subscriber.

I just checked out the video...the likes/dislikes/comments are not in proportion with the amount of views. Does it tell you where the views are coming from? From what I have gathered if the views are mostly from Facebook, that could be a sign you were botted. Hopefully you were not! You are a good presenter.

not if it's botted views though. this happened to my friend and his view count has been stuck at 301 for days now. and it'll only start counting again as soon as the video reaches 302 "real" views.
