My Google+ strategy

Furry Gurus

I'm a girl!
For those that are interested, this is my Google+ strategy:

1. Make sure you share all of your videos to your own wall.
2. Follow a bunch (5-10) popular communities that relate to your channel.
3. Share your videos on their wall alternately not to overspam them.
4. Follow everyone that gave your post a +1

Since these people already liked one of your videos chances are they will like more and follow you back. Some of them will even start watching your videos on Google+ and give them a +1 every time.

Works great for me :)

hahah.. oh boy this reminds me of when I was part of 100+ google+ communities and spent an hour each video sharing to all of them xD fun times :3

Your method sounds much nicer :P

Thanks for the advice! how much traffic do you generally get from google+?

Never thought of using Google + to promote due to the fact im an old school YouTuber (2011) and dislike Google+ but it may end up treating me really well. I will put your method into action and post in 2 weeks the results :)

The problem with this is there isn't a popular Google+ Community for everything. Some of the games I play or want to make content for have no popular Google+ Communities. So I can't exactly use this strategy. I do agree, however, joining a couple that are a little more general that are popular might help tremendously. :)

I guess if it doesn't exist you can't apply this. Lucky for me there are a lot of dog and cat related ones :p

Well if there isn't a G+ Community for the game I want to make content for, I could just make it and market the heck out of it to help drive traffic to it. That's always a possibility. If fact I probably will end up doing just that. :)

Google+ is probably one of the most under utilized social media platforms that YouTubers use (we all have a G+ Profile so everyone has one just not everyone uses it). Plus it looks good to YouTube if you're using their platforms in combination with one another. So I don't know why more YouTubers aren't jumping on board with it since it's really user friendly and very clean looking. It isn't cluttered like Facebook is.
