My first copyright claim

I've had about a dozen people reupload when I was making RuneScape videos.. I had 150k+ channel views and ~1k subs. EVERYTIME I would message the person who re-uploaded, and they took it down. I did not file for copyright strikes because....

Back in the day I was virtually scammed by a guy for about ~$300.. I ran an extremely successful online gambling "ring", I know most people are against this but I digress..

He actually uploaded the video, and I reuploaded it to try to show everyone what he did, I was devistated.. He filed a copyright claim and I got a strike.. Ever since then I promised myself I would not ruin anyone's channel by simply not taking the time to ask them to remove it. This one incident actually led me to get declined by Machimina and then I essentially quit that project.

Hopefully i've swayed at least one person here to message the person infringing.. Rather than just ratting out to Google.

Back in 2010-11, there was this affiliate marketer from Yugoslavia who was stealing hypnosis, meditation and fitness/beauty videos, running them through an editor which reversed the images so any text was mirror-imaged, and throwing the URL of his affiliate product pointer site onto them. I had to file three copyright claims against him or her before it was over.

we had this, we uploaded our first vid in April which was a music video (we didnt monetise) of forever yours by Alex Day, to this day we have a message saying its not our content, which is fine, if the people mad the claim were actually the ones who produced the content :| -joe
