Have you ever filed a copyright notice against someone else? If so, what for?

have you been uploaded that video twice , or you used non-royalty free music , for example you used Friday by rebecca black or something like that .

I had a Mexican steal my 'Badass kitten vs. dog' video and post it up under his account. I sent his a message telling him to take it down and quit stealing other people stuff (that's what his channel was full of... other peoples stuff). He took it down, no problem.

Question is, what is copyright-able on youtube. Or more precisely what is claimable, and how does one do it. How does YT prevent frivolous claims.

never done it before, i dont think i seen my exact video on anyone else channel before, what kind of information did youtube require in order to do the claim?

I did one over the holiday weekend. Someone re uploaded my Vanilla Pudding Glock Part 1 video without permission. Made a copyright claim and it was gone almost instantly.

I allow people to reupload my stuff if they ask nicely and I see some sort of benefit in it for me! I plan on making a promo/high light video and keep it unlisted and just send that to anyone who asks to reupload my stuff!

Not on Youtube though we have had to with some cast photos being stolen, doctored and re-posted recently, in that case a polite but firm message pointing out our ownership sorted it all out.
As for what we post on Youtube, it is all our own work or clips we have had permission to film and upload.

If one of our our cast members or close contacts wanted to re-upload one of our clips with attached info, I dont think we would get in a sweat, it is when people re-upload things, having altered them, removed our info off them, or claimed as their own that the real stress would come in.
