My Channel is undergoing a rebranding - evaluation?

My channel currently goes under Arkus Eon. It features well-edited funny gaming videos that are uploaded at fairly infrequent intervals, usually within 2 - 3 weeks of each other.

I would like to rebrand my channel to AdamSki (my name is Adam - my nicknames are LADam and Adamski), which will hopefully include a restyle of how I approach my videos - it would be more similar to something like Markiplier (my favourite Youtuber and personal hero xD), featuring gaming playthroughs rather than "funny moments", sketches and the occasional VLOG. I also plan to have a regular update pattern of every Wednesday rather than the current, unplanned schedules.

So, in total, how does this all sound? Do you guys think I should reconsider any of this plan before I go through with it?

Also, how should I go about notifying my current subscribers about the rebranding?

Just watched a few of your videos there and I really lie them. Reading from your post above, I would definitely at least have a plan of hat days you want to upload videos and stuff I'm no expert but that is what I think anyway... I look forward to seeing much more of your content

The best way to notify subscribers of the change is to get a Twitter that is associated with your account or to make a new video explaining the transition to a new branding.
