Can you show some proof that Google actually pay licensing fees when it's the record companies actually posting the songs on YouTube because you're not making any sense, that link you posted doesn't prove that they pay for licensing, licensing for what exactly anyway??

Also that doesn't say that YouTube pays for licensing, it just says they have an agreement with YouTube, possible for how their songs are used on YouTube, but I doubt YouTube has paid anyone because these companies are posting their songs on Google's site at their discretion.

Wasn't the whole YouTube being sued for 2bn a few years back what caused them to implement content id? iirc

Ahh yes actually I think they did get sued in 2008 for all the tv shows, movies and music being uploaded, which made them introduce length limits on videos and the content ID system.

Well the fact that the sentence in the screenshot says "YouTube has license deals in place." Implies they pay a license. Google HFA YouTube License Offer. You will find a site that lists the agreement. It explains in the agreement a synch license is paid for along enabling Lip Sync videos etc. I will make a YouTube channel for copyright to help people.

#1 That's not what was mentioned on that page, it's great to see you mis-quoting something you link/screenshotted to show us.

#2 Why is Google paying royalties to these companies that upload their songs at their own discretion? Also read the rest of my post as I edited it to add another paragraph.

Also PM me if after you answer me second question if you want to discuss this further. ;)

Well I'm not really misquoting things. I'm more taking what I know by talking to the music industry. Just so you know Anytime a song is on Spotify or Google Music for example, the record labels and publishers are paid a royalty fee. So why wouldn't Google pay for YouTube? It's all part of the deal. Have you googled the HFA License offer I suggested? If not you really should.
