Most Important Stat To You

views is definitely the most important without views you cant get any of those (subs,favorites,shares,audience retention etc.)
 
Audience Retention, Comments, Subs, likes.
In that order.
Especially with the new layout - apparently videos are going to start being prioritized by watch time (audience retention basically) instead of views because it means that those videos are keeping people on YouTube.
Any tips on improving audience retention would be helpful, btw :D
 
hey Talooka, one way is to flash some text in your video. do it 1/3 of the way in your videos. but try to make it flash up for only a fraction of a second. Your viewers will see it .... but wont be able to read it fast enough .... so they will jump back in the video a few seconds and try to see it again. This will cause the meter on the retention to go up. Just dont take my word for it, try it and see.
 
Views are most important to me, since then I know my videos are being watched lol

If you have videos no longer than 2 minutes then audience retention rate won't be a worry (based on studies after 2 minutes is when most will get bored - source = I read it on a site the other day and can't remember the link lol)

I don't care too much about likes or dislikes

For me, it's probably audience retention. I hate seeing it say 0:40 seconds, because then most people aren't even watching 1 minute of my stuff!!!!

Definitely Audience Retention because it makes me believe that I'm not making my videos up to par as they should be. With the others like views and subs, it feels probably more along the lines of not promoting myself well.
