More videos = less views?

Easily Distracted
Over the past 8 weeks I've been working to consistently put out a new comedy video every week. It takes a lot of work, but I've noticed the quality of my work has increased along the way.

Another thing I've noticed is that my views have nosedived (with the exception of one video, but that's just because people are idiots and think babies are in the Illuminati). When I was putting out a new video every month or so, the views came in a lot quicker.

This strikes me as odd. I've heard the opposite is true for a lot gaming channels. Any idea on why this might be occurring?

It's just that before its got to its peak views you have put out another video, in the amount of time you normally do a video how many have you done, because you may have one with 1000 views or 5 with 200 views :)

That does seem odd. I've definitely noticed this between daily and every-other-day content - that releasing too often can cause one video to canabalize the other, but month-to-weekly seems very odd.

Is it possible the schedule is just too strenuous and quality has suffered?

I find that daily videos really make you have to spread out your content too much but having videos less often helps to only include the best parts and best jokes :)

yeah my stats don't add up either. WIth me it's not so much about amount of output, it just seems like the more subs I gain the less views I get. when I had about 400 subs I could count on 200 views every video, now at over 700 it's a struggle to get 100.... very... disheartening.

I know I just started uploading and I dont have many views, but I would say it has to do with what your uploading...I found alot of people, get more views by uploading daily or weekly if they do lets plays or vlogs...that might not be the case...but still....

The Messiah Speaks! I find that too, there are some people put there with 200-300 subs and they get in around 20-30 comments and I struggle to get 10 now a days.

ACK!!! So not a messiah, SHHHHHHHH the deity references make me uncomfortable LOL. Some people were calling me "the god of yttalk" once and I was just like "NO NO NO NO NO NOOOOO!!!!!!!" So... rockstar compliments, kingly compliments, insults, all that's fine, please no "messiah" or "deity" jokes, even jokingly I just squirm when I see them. And yeah, it's really annoying man... I can't figure out why it goes that way.

Yeah thats what I have noticed, its a shame as more seems like a good thing when it comes to quality uploads.
