Missed Out on an Awesome Video :(

I Love YTtalk
So we went for a casual bike ride today on the trail behind our house. About a half a mile up the trail we saw 3 people, 2 riding side by side. We were also side by side, I was on the left. I did what you are supposed to do and slowed down and got behind my girlfriend. The old lady should have done the same thing, but I guess she somehow didn't see us. My girlfriend slammed her brakes on and planted her foot, the old lady saw her at the very last second and tried to swerve left but crashed into her front wheel and flew off her bike like a rag doll into the gravel and almost hit a light pole! I was a few feet behind and saw the whole thing.... But since road bike rides aren't very exciting, I had no GoPro filming... Would have been hilarious to see that crash in 1080p slow motion, but I missed out... DAMN IT!

New rule for me: ALWAYS have a GoPro when doing anything athletic, even if it's not extreme. Well, time to go to the hockey game, hopefully they let me bring in my Hero 4 unlike the football stadium. Football stadiums excuse: I can't bring it in because it takes pictures and video, but everybody with a smart phone can bring their smart phone in.....

That sound pretty serious, and you think it'd be hilarious? That's messed up. Your girlfriend deserves better, honestly.

I mean, I get being into carnage and chaos, having that "Oooo!" moment when someone bites it. Though, still.

You think my girlfriend deserves better??? How about you go eat a bowl of dicks!? The lady who flew off her bike deserved it, people like that should not be riding on a trail with other people. She was absolutely not paying attention and could have hurt me or my girlfriend badly by her lack of awareness on the trail, but my girlfriend WAS paying attention and stopped to brace herself. The lady was not hurt even though she flew off of her bike like a jackass, we were able to fix my girlfriend's bike that the lady damaged on the spot because I brought the right tools, and everyone rode away fine. Even the old lady's husband was bagging on her saying "I warned you at least 3 times!"

Saying something like that about a man's girlfriend/wife to a man in person is a good way to get punched in the mouth, so I think it'd be a good idea to hide behind your keyboard when you say something like that to prevent a large dental bill.... Just saying....

Ah, from how I read the original post, it seemed as if you were saying all that happened to your girlfriend; I retract my statement then. Honest mistake.

haha I kind of figured. no worries... Didn't mean to snap back like that, but that's my natural male defense mode kicking in. The old lady was fine, she was apologizing so much and I felt a little bit sorry because of the way she flew off... She seemed fine and had no blood, but I'm sure she'll be bruised today.

Being said, I did post the video of my GF fracturing a rib a few months ago, but I didn't think it was funny at all until she fully recovered and we are now able to laugh about it. Plus she hinted that she would send my video link to her boss with her email saying that she is going to miss a week of work before we even got home from urgent care, so that was kind of my permission to post lol. Even right after her crash when she caught her breath, she was like "Did you get that on your camera?" And I felt really bad, but I was like "Yup, I got a pretty good view of it too..." I felt kind of like an ******* for adding slow motion and music to the crash, but she laughed enough at it to hurt her rib. Naturally when she told her mom about the lady crashing into her, the first thing her mom asked was "Oh are you guys ok? Did Eric get it on video?" The day she got back to work, the first thing everyone asked was if I got it on video....

So yes, you can call me kind of an ******* for the rib thing, but she told me go for it.

I understand, I didn't take offense to it. It's the internet, can't let things get to you. I went back and reread it, and saw the little part I missed. Anyway, least everything is cleared up.
