Same with mine yet I get loads of likes so they must be watching the whole video to want to like it, I have heard this problem with even parternered channels so I don't really think it is reliable, in fact I never look at the youtube stats as it doesn't even get the amount of views and subscribers I have right. My number of views versus minutes watched suggests that most people who watch my videos watch next to nothing of them. I was just wondering whether the minutes watched stat was reliable and if I should be worried about the viewer retention of my videos.
One of my videos has 1200 views it around 6 minutes long but has about 200 minutes watched which is way lower than it should be if all those people watched the video but I have gained 44 likes on it and have gained 20 subscribers so I am impressed whether the minute stat is correct or not?
