Honestly, as long as the microphone has a depth sound to it, I am okay with simple clicks and presses. I hate the sound of many headset microphones, and they don't sound base-ey or echo-ey in the slightest. A little echo is always necessary. For example, I used to record with the Tritan Ax Pro's (5.1 physical surround sound, first edition) microphone. It has decent quality, but has no depth. A lot of the times it sounds like audio is blaring over the limit of the microphone whenever no audio has exceeded that. I made the switch to the Yeti (by Blue) and using the Stereo mode has a good amount of depth for me. Cardoid is decent, just doesn't have as much depth as I would like.
