Mic Audio Error, Need Help!

yea i tried moving it around first because i thought it was feedback, but it didn't help :( now that i'm thinking more about it as well, i used it yesterday morning for google hangouts and it's been since then that it hasn't worked. connected maybe? lolz

It might be. I would go through all your settings and see if it has changed anything about it. Go through everything lol.
 
well according to the internets it's a sound card problem and not a problem with the mic itself and as such i'll have to buy a new soundcard, so i guess i'm off the youtube for a month or 2 XD
 
so it turns out time heals all wounds xD just tested my mic again today and it's working perfectly again :L no idea what went wrong, guessing lose wire or something but here's hoping it doesn't break again. :p thanks for all you guys' help trying to figure this one out anyways :D
