Mean people on the Internet

TaliaBloodina

Posting Mad!
Well I just think that the Internet in general gives people the chance to post mean comments or say mean things , basically because they aren't showing their face to anybody. I have seen this happening too much on youtube for example, but also on other websites.

Opinions?

Quite true. Alotta trolls can hide behind their virtual selves to do that. :) Sadly, there are so many of them though.

I agree. It's all too easy today to say 'well it's just the internet, get over it'. I feel like that passive attitude is actually make it okay for people to effectively bully others from behind a keyboard. I know that there's not a fat lot can be done (if you block, they can make new accounts etc), but still. It's becoming too acceptable to behave horribly towards people 'because it's the internet'.

My opinion on these people is that they really just know they can get away with it. If you could steal something and have no consequences ever, would you do it? A lot of people would, to be honest. People just like doing bad things knowing they can't get in trouble for it. When it comes to these people though, I just say 'Haters gonna hate'

All you've got to do is just have the knowledge that they are probably stupid people with nothing better to do then be horrid and they will probably never amount to nothing whereas you can be whatever you want! :happy2:

If bullying gets too much for someone Online, in the UK it's against the law to Cyberbully. I'm not sure about anywhere else.
A troll is a troll, but if someone goes out of their way to continuously upset/harrass you, they can get arrested for it here.
Ah.. IP-tracking, how wonderful it is. :giggle:

Yeah I agree, and I have heard the "well is just the internet" sentence way too much, it is sick :/ like it doesn't mean it can't still affect you.
