Matched third party content copyright help!

I've Got It
Hey guys, so I've been doing Lets Plays of Cry of Fear and now Outlast and I've been posting the links to the games and etc. but YouTube has matched third party content on 4 of my videos. Not knowing what I was doing, I acknowledged and then after researching I found out I couldn't get partnered. I realize I might have to take the videos down, but how can I avoid having 2-20 seconds of game content kill my video? I know other youtubers have the same content without the third party content labels. What can I do?!

I'm on iPad so I'll check that as soon as I can, but the videos that I'd need to take down are necessary for people following the series. What can I do to preserve them or re-upload without matching content

You should still be able to partner when your channels status is still good. I've had multiple videos with matched third party content and I've never took them down. The only thing is that all revenue made from that video goes to the original content owner, though the good thing is that for me that revenue goes to the record labels my music was released at, so in the end I will still get back some of that revenue from them. :D

Depends what is being claimed and falling under the third party claim, if you find out what it is maybe you can just edit that bit out and re-upload it??

I actually had the same problem, deleted the copyrighted videos, and then found another solution afterwards. lol So when looking at one of the videos in video manager, I saw this tab called music. If I remember correctly, there is something you can click that'll mute the copyrighted part in the video. Hope this helps. Otherwise, I'm just gonna be "That guy who gave me stupid information". lol

Usually it's a few seconds of music, but my standing is good. I do want to monetize/get partnered though and I don't want to lose possible money because of it. Can't I just put a disclaimer in the description or something? That is, after I reupload.

Turn off the background music in game when you are recording the game to minimize the chance of getting copyright claims because of the music that is being used in the game.

I will most definitely look into that. And about the videos that I'll have to reupload?

A disclaimer is really just words I'm afraid, you have to find some form of written statement from the copyright holder for any chance of it being removed :(
