Master Network?

No @Tarmack, master networks know what they're doing. A few master networks are now becoming YouTube Certified as well.
Of course, they're still Virtual Networks and they might not (all) know everything in and out about operating a full-sized network but if they are master networks, it's because they have proven that they are reliable, trustworthy and knowledgeable to Freedom and to their partners.
I know you dislike Freedom, but please try to refrain from crying out things that are solely meant to harm Freedom's reputation.

Gas Jockeys usually know what they're doing as well. The common practice that I was referencing has nothing to do with Freedom's reputation, but with adding a level of illusory prestige by complicating the name of something for no reason. The gas jockey is a certified petroleum transfer engineer. The secretary is now an executive assistant. It is the same thing as the VN owner in most cases calling themselves a CEO. Overall tendency to over-complicate and puff something up above what is actually real and valuable in language.

You know as well as I do that referring to a VN as a MASTER network, implies a great deal more than their trustworthiness, reliability and knowledge.

If my accusation that Freedom uses b******t language to make things sound better than they are is too much for Freedom's reputation, I have a few other examples I can give. George is very good at that particular task.

So you're implying that VNs don't really know what they're doing? I think that some Master Networks would, with a bit of guidance, be totally capable of running an MCN.

Why, in your opinion, is a VN considered so much lower than an MCN? The reason why there are tiers is to show how experienced they are, which does in fact warrant the "prestige" you mention.

Some VN owners call themselves CEOs yes, which might be silly when they are small, but when they run a larger VN with staff members and they are sometimes a registered company, the CEO position is absolutely justified.

I didn't say anything about VN's not knowing what they're doing. In fact, quite the opposite. Saying that a Master Network is trustworthy and knowledgeable, and that this is the defining feature of them implies that Freedom VN's who are not Master Networks are not knowledgeable or trustworthy which is a very dangerous implication. What I said, was that you don't need a fancy title in order to know what you're doing in any industry.

The simple reason a VN is considered lower than a MCN is because they are. They have no control and are in essence a glorified recruiter. Some do a better job than others and can certainly have some added value, but as a VN yourself, you are as aware as I am of the limitations VNs operate under.

The CEO thing is one that has always bothered me. CEO is a title that implies a great deal about the level of operation that is occurring and when someone uses that title, even with a few staff and registering a company, they dilute the term beyond any value. Those VN owners who do have a sizable staff level will as surely as I, be frustrated in its overuse as it degrades the proper use of the term.

The existence of a "Master Network" status does not imply that networks with inferior statuses do not know what they're doing, it simply implies that the network with Master status has proven their knowledge/experience and trustworthiness over a long period of time. It is also a sign of their ongoing success.

VNs are inferior to an MCN to a certain extent. This all depends on the relationship that the VN has with its MCN and how much control is given to them.
Throwing a blanket over all VNs and saying that "they have no control" is silly. If you were referring to VNs under BBTV for example, you'd be correct. But some VNs (CreatorX under Fullscreen for example) do have control over their operations and over certain decisions made my the MCN.
VNs are not necessarily glorified recruiters, except in certain cases (BBTV, Rule, ...) where the MCN has squeezed them into a position where that's all they are -or- where the VN has decided to operate that way. Of course there are limitations, but control can be given.

I agree with what you say about CEOs, I just wanted to make sure that you and I were on the same page for the following statement: "In certain cases, a VN owner can be called a CEO if it is justified".

When people ask what Master Network means and all they get back is that these are knowledgeable, trustworthy people, the clear takeaway from the questioning side is to be scared of the other VN's. This is reinforced by Georges' recent employee shaming video. There is nothing wrong with having tiers in VNs. My issue is with the language as I've maintained from the start. When you rename your best VN's to Master Networks, that's an even more prestigious name than MCN. It's a b******t title, just like the others I referenced. It is a consistent theme within the Freedom marketing push that I disagree with and is the reason that George has an uphill battle with his own reputation because the same stuff happened at TGN. He's a dreamer champion style entrepreneur, which is fine to have on staff in the background, but the moment you put them out front of PR, all of a sudden your organization has more promises out in the field than it can keep up with.

I don't feel that it is a valid point of view to claim that exceptions, make the rule. It is entirely fair to say that VN's have no control, with the following exceptions and then pick a couple.

Yes, I think we agree on the CEO title. My threshold is probably a bit higher though. I don't feel that a handful of staff and a business registration are enough, especially since most VN staff are paid via commission or are only part time and really only paid a stipend. Anyone can register a business and the business never has to do anything. If you run a VN and you've got 5-10 full time salaried staff, I'll have far less of an issue with the use of the terms CEO, President and so on.

Calling them "Master Networks" is better than referring to them as MCNs, I don't know if they still do that also but I remember there used to be a load of Freedom sub-networks called themselves MCNs :D

Edit: I totally didn't mean to do this. Can an Mod/Admin remove this :)
