Making videos for the right reasons?

I've Got It
ive just been thinking about this and i just wanted to ask some people are you making youtube videos for the right reasons? like do you make them just to try and become famous and make "youtube money" and try and be better than everyone? or do you do it because you honestly love just making videos? because you're happy to just get up and make that video and know that someone out there is watching and you could of just made there day with that video? ive just been wondering because ive been asking myself this.

I make videos because I enjoy making videos. I make videos so that I have something to look back on when I grow up. I have to admit I would love for loads of people to view my videos, I'm working on becoming a movie actor so having YouTube at my disposal is something I really want to take full advantage of, but in the end I don't monetize my videos at the moment because I don't want money to get in the way of the content I want to create. I'm trying to create a video a week and sometimes it doesn't turn out as best as I'd hope, but I'm proud of every video I've made as long as I know that it makes me laugh.

If you made videos only for da CHACHINGcash and fame and not for the love of videos it would SUUUCK. Youtube is a hobby that takes up a lot of your time. So yeah, you would have to have actual love and determination or it is a waste of yo time.
Obviously, I love making videos. What motivates me more is the fact that there's a chance of me being able to do what I love for a living

Ive done YouTube party due to, Not having the best confidence with myself and wanting to better my voice. Its already helped me a great deal!, Not really had any one commenting to effect me at the moment but im sure ill enjoy it when they do!.

Also ive trying to finish a degree in short film making, on a year off. I need to keep my editing skills up! and knowledge of HD videos!

I do it because I absolutely love making videos and I absolutely love making people laugh. So with Youtube, I can do both! While it would be nice to be
Youtube famous/make a lot of money from it, those things will come naturally if at all. I don't worry too much about all of that, I just put out videos because they are fun to make!

I do it because I love entertaining people. When I started uploading back in 2009 on my old channel (was one of the first CoD commentators, started around SeaNanners did) there wasn't really any way for gamers to make money on YouTube. Everyone did it because they enjoyed it, and it shows. It's too easy to tell who does it for the money and who does it because they have a passion for it. In my mind, so long as you are putting out quality content, the views will come with time. It may take a couple of years, but I can't say I've ever seen someone who has uploaded consistently high quality content for a long time fail to grow to a decent size. Maybe not 1 million subscribers big, but a solid, self sustaining size with steady growth.

So true.

Personally I love recording and editing and making my videos. A lot of other smaller YT channels like myself have already started monetizing their videos already and when they view my videos they ask me "why do you run ads?? you can make money!" I'm not into it for money, just to entertain people.

Anyone who starts this with the intention of money or fame is going to be very disappointed 95% of the time. Gotta do it cause you love it. And if you love it and you're good at it, then the rest will fall into place.
