Making pictures full screen without losing quality?

This won't help you but for anyone who sees this thread in the future and is wondering the same thing about how to do it in Sony Vegas Pro, just open the pan/crop of the picture, right click it, then click "fit to source aspect" then it will make the frame as big as your project, now just resize or whatever you need the crop box, but it will now be able to fill the whole screen.
 
Thanks for all the info. Unfortunately, there's no way to resize the photos in the version of Windows Live Movie Maker that I have but the aspect ratio can be changed. Is there any way to do that for the existing video in the video editor or would I have to re-upload it? I'm hoping it's not the latter because I don't see the point in having a duplicate video or using it to replace the one I have now that has so many views and comments.
If you saved the project before you rendered it, you can render it again in 16:9. Sadly though, you would still have to upload it again.
