Ya boi GradeAUnderA is meeting the issue head on and just dropped his second video on Youtube community guidelines.

At the end he's preaching that we tweet @SusanWojcicki, the Youtube CEO, with the hashtag #MakeYoutubeGreatAgain in an effort to get this fixed.


I personally really wanna see this trending, and i'm hoping to see support from the bigger names. It's nice to have someone whos name carries some weight being so proactive about whats wrong with Youtube.
Thoughts, opinions?

I particularly like the part where he outlines misleading titles and thumbnails and then goes on to defend a youtuber who uses misleading titles and thumbnails.
 
Well... The problem is that all those huge "delinquent" channels represent a HUGE bottom line. As a company you don't cut that which feeds you. So will there be a change? Highly unlikely.

But, don't for a second think that you won't get harassed by YouTube on your own original content when you just start out. I can remember the frustration I went trough when YouTube denied monetization because the content ID system had a problem with said original content. (Now bare in mind, I monetized from day one based on principle. I create content which brings viewers to YouTube, and as such YouTube should give back for those views). But, I have a theory about that too since my content pretty much insta-monetizes nowadays. They where vetting me. Seeing if I was in it for the long run. 2.5 years later I'd say yes.

I do wonder if new YouTubers still go trough those content ID strikes...
 
Yeah YouTube is definitely going somewhat downhill atm with just no recognition at all for all the things these people are doing, whilst 'punishing' people who have done absolutely nothing wrong. It's so sad to see the YouTube community get tortured by this, I really do worry for the future
 
Using a format for a slogan which Trump has recently taken up is a surefire way to be taken seriously.

(And for the record, what the hell is up with the "again"? In the past you wouldn't get bogus claims, but copyrighted material was strung around like it currently is on dailymotion which is not a good thing, and you didn't have a way to make money off your videos back then. Why the hell would you want YT to revert to its antiquated state? Seriously, that has to be the worst hashtag for addressing YT's problems that I've ever seen.)

And you know who will be there to pick up the pieces when it falls apart on them. Facebook, I've been saying it for over a year now. It's just a matter of time. They keep modifying their video platform to gear it toward larger scale monetization/revenue sharing. When you upload to Facebook now it gives you a handful of the options Youtube and other video platforms give you and offers suggested videos along the bottom. Supposedly they're working on a separate video section of the site too.

People may not like Zuckerberg, but he's a friggin genius and he will strike at just the right time to persuade big Youtubers to post their content first and foremost at Facebook. And that will be the beginning of the end (with regard to Youtube eventually (years down the line) losing the market share to Facebook, not with regard to Youtube going out of business or anything crazy like that).
 
I also noticed that when I go to YouTube (the last 1-2 years) I am constantly bombarded with videos from their mega channels and almost nothing else. Even when I craft a search terms to escape from them the algorithm continues to push them down my throat. I am sorry but YouTube starts to become boring like hell.
For the community guidance violations which get unpunished I don't even want to mention.
