So Maker and Ray William Johnson had a falling out earlier this year. Now RWJ is no longer with the Maker network. He is creating his own content plus he creates content for Blip.

Maker just bought Blip.

At Vidcon, one of the higher ups at Maker was talking about how YouTube takes too big of a cut of the advertising revenue. This is going to be interesting and I think it's only the beginning.
 
Maker wanted to start their own youtube so I think buying Blip is a good thing. Only I will not start using Blip.
 
I had applied for Blip and got denied.

My first goal was to lock up my name so that I couldn't be impersonated. But still, I would have liked to have been able to talk to somebody and explain what content I could create. Instead, they take a look at my channel and make a decision base on what I am doing on YouTube now.

They are more interested in web series and episodic content.
 
Yeah maker and there own video network, if you think they had fun while under the thumb of youtube. Wait till you see what do they when there power is unchecked and beyond question. At first glance it kinda look's like there being a spiteful ex of RWJ, oh go and make videos on blip will you, we just might buy the company hahaha.
