Mac: best recording and editing software

Hey guys, I was wondering what others thought is the best recording and editing software.
I use Screenflow to record and edit, but it isn't really made for good editing. I used to use Camtasia, I torrented it, but it appeared to not be a full version, so that sucks. Any suggestions then?

If you convert the screen flow files to mp4 ( or another common format) you could edit it in iMovies until you find something better

I too am looking for a good editing software as only recently moved to screen flow

I use Quicktime player to record on Mac, it does the job and it's free.
I did use some software that came with Logic Pro for some editing but havent used it recently for the lack of Hard Drive space.

I may check out logic pro but note that quicktime is broken on some macs ( when I updated from 10.6.7 to 10.8.2 it causes too much lag for me to record and play games at the same time)

Seems to be working alright right now for me, might just be a bit lucky :p
I use Logic Pro for audio editing for music and so on just to point that out, should have been a bit more specific before lol.
I throw my videos into Vegas on the PC as i haven't found anything better for Mac.

Quicktime doesn't record the pc audio, so that isn't an option for me.

I love Screenflow for capturing, but FCP or AE are better to edit with[DOUBLEPOST=1365867906,1365867877][/DOUBLEPOST]

FCP and AE are both better than Vegas :)

I use iSHowU pro for thecreencapture and adobe premiere and after effects for producing a video ;)

I use screenflow if I'm doing a tutorial, but I purely use it as a capture tool only, not as an editing tool.

For editing give iMovie a shot, and as you grow accustomed to it you'll find Final Cut Pro X a much easier transition. ;)
