Low views and much higher subs?

My channel isn't that old, a couple of months, and currently I'm at 38 subscribers. Now a few of them I know but the majority I don't. The problem is that while my subscriber count is going up (1 or 2 every other day), my views are not! I don't sub for sub, I don't unnecessarily market my channel anywhere (in fact I hardly ever do any marketing, except for asking new followers on Twitter to check out my channel, I specifically say there that I don't sub4sub and they must only subscribe if they like my content). Anyone had a problem like this. Or is my view to sub ratio normal and there is no point in me worrying? I'd appreciate any info! Thanks!

Hey. It's important to know that not all your subscribers will watch your videos, Otherwise KSI will get 13M views per video even if he posted a video of nothing. So what is important is quality content and thumbnails, this way you will ensure that people are gripped and are watching your videos. I'm not saying you don't have quality videos, but you may want to see what other you tubers are doing that are similar to you. Hope I am being helpful.

Thanks you are definitely right. I honestly don't do much in the way of thumbnails haha maybe I should pay more attention to them

If you really wanna grow, don't rely on your subscribers to be watching your videos. You gotta learn to get better and better everyday at marketing, promoting and understanding SEO. I'm at 550+ subs at the moment and if you want the honest truth only about 25 of my subs watch my videos daily, and the most in a given day is 150 and that's when I release a new video. But overtime I've found ways to consistently get 1000+ views. The way I see it, the views I get from subs I consider only bonus.

Since you use Twitter, I'll give marketing advice there. Telling new followers on Twitter to check out your channel as soon as they follow you is very poor marketing. I hope you develop a connection with them first. I personally start by sending a personalized video message to as many new Twitter Followers as I can daily, simply thanking them and saying their name. Very few people do this, and I'm able stand out from the crowd and create loyal followers who'll retweet, share and engage with my stuff. People want to know that you're a real human being. I also wear my Brand's T-shirt so I am promoting at the same time.

Now will everyone give back responses like this? No... But those that do I save them in a list using the feature in Twitter that I'll call, "Awesome people" to make them even feel more special. And when I retweet content I'll often choose from people in that list.

Thanks I appreciate the advice! PostivelyBrainwashed, it sounds like you've got this whole marketing thing down, I hear what you are saying and really like your idea. Thanks for the honest and useful info
