Lost Subscribers

I Love YTtalk
I'm not one to complain but for the month of December I lost 23 subscribers and I am wondering if I am doing something wrong. 23 is a lot for a channel of my size. I did gain quite a bit during that month so maybe I shouldn't complain. Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this so I don't go crazy.

i know if i lost that many for a channel of my size i would be sad.. and confused. but for a channel your size as well its pretty much the same. if you had like 1k subs i wouldnt worry about it. means 900 more people like your stuff. but i havent experience this and i hope i wont. I wish you the best of luck to gain more subscribers though. it must be tough.

No... I don't really lose many subs. Sorry bro :/[DOUBLEPOST=1388789467,1388789421][/DOUBLEPOST]
Check your analytics, youtube closed a bunch of inactive channels which may be why you lost so many
True. In which case it wouldn't matter anyway, since inactive people don't watch video ;)

Most of my lost subs have been from closed inactive accounts (as said by somebody above). Dont stress or change what you're doing until you know for sure that isnt the reason

usually what i find when losing subscribers is either not uploading enough or having a controversial opinion? have any of the two?? :O

Fashion can be controversial in and of itself. I upload weekly and have been keeping up with it recently.

It's not due to closed accounts. I checked.

Yeah. I would have been on my way to 500 subs had I retained those subs, so somewhat disheartening.[DOUBLEPOST=1388790024,1388789624][/DOUBLEPOST]I'm also wondering if it is a result of people resubscribing. Does that show up as gained and loss?

I wouldn't worry at all. It's the relative numbers (%) that matter, not the absolute ones. As the total number of your subs increase, the more you will lose in absolute terms, but as long as it's still more or less the same proportion of total subs, it's nothing to worry about. It's perfectly normal even.

How many did you gain? In analytics, for the last 30 days, what are the 3 numbers in those boxes in the subs tab? (subscribers, gained subs, lost subs) ? Don't post your figures here if you don't want to, but the calculation to do would be divide "lost subs" (3rd column) by "subscribers" (1st column) and multiply by 100 to give you your "sub turnover" Mine is 9.5%
