Looks like YouTube finally killed the sub box

I see a fair few people moaning about this problem caused by the redirecting of my_subbox but not many people offering up solutions.

Lets talk for the short term first of all actions:
  • Does anyone know of a way around this redirect; maybe some sort of YouTube directory we could access to send us back to grid style sub box?
  • Perhaps someone know's of a third party chrome extension or application, that we could use in the short term to get round this problem?
Long term solutions:
This is all really part of a bigger overriding issue; YouTube/Google simply doesn't listen to it's user base. As much as they might be an LLC and we really have no legal say in how the websites run; its the content creators and the viewers that make their business viable and as the users represent there profits we can directly impact their company.
Once upon a time YouTube implemented a "FEED BACK" button which swiftly disappeared following the who-har created when they first redirected the subscription link. Therein lies proof: we do have an impact and I have a feeling that this is going to spawn another wave of lash-back at YouTube but it'll likely fade away into nothingness, just as the last time they made these big changes. Unless the people concerned act now and ride the wave that's likely about to blow up online; perhaps we if start a sort of campaign to give the average user more say in how the website is run, then we could make a change.
If you actually want to do something about this reply to me; leave a suggestion or go start another thread about this on various sites and put the message about.
So where to start:
  • #tag campaign get the message out there: (suggestion: #YouTubeRedirectSubBoxURL)
  • Tweet at your favorite YouTuber's try and get them on board; send them private messages, email, link the thread on Facebook
  • Start new threads on various websites: reddit, 4chan, news websites
  • DOS campaign: lets be clear; we're not gonna knock Google out or even try too but if people were to consistently refresh the subscription/feed using a program or chrome extension like: chromeDOTgoogleDOTcom/ webstore/ detail/ auto-refresh-plus/ oilipfekkmncanaajkapbpancpelijih YouTube might sit up and pay attention. Auto refresh extension screen cap.jpg

Found a fairly good fix, a chrome extension called stylebot, (Google it, I can't post links) there is a style for youtube called 'YouTube Subscriptions - Force Grid Layout', which in my opinion is better than the old video wall, only because it shows more videos, better use of my monitor space. Only problem is that it doesn't remove watched videos.
