Looking for suggestions on a $1k camera

Hey guys,

I need your help. I have been trying to find a good camera for around a thousand dollars could be a bit more if it's worth it. I do a lot of up close detailed shots in my reviews and my dslr has issues focusing when getting in close. I also seem to have some issues getting good focus in certain lighting. This could very well be user error too. Mainly I want to increase the quality of my channel with 1080p resolution at 60fps atleast. I was looking at the Sony HXR-MC-2500 but it looks like it's out of production . Does anyone have a good suggestion?

I use the canon t6i its about $700~ new with the 18-55mm kit lens. you can also look at the canon t6s that's a step up for a few hundred more. the canon 70d is about 1.1k -1.2k and is really nice. the trick is finding something that does 1080p @ 60fps (so you can film slow mo without up-scaling if you are rendering at 1080p) The t6i and t6s don't do this and its one thing i really wish I had. but its not super important.
 
There are a lot of options but i would recommend personally for 1k the Canon 70D. If you're worried about focusing then this camera offers a great auto focusing feature which has been praised by many critics, but it is also an overall good camera now as for shooting at 60fps 1080p i recommend the Pentax k-1 which is kind of 700 dollars extra but you did say you were willing to go the extra mile for good content I hope this helps you!!!

Yeah settle for a Canon t6i or a 70d. For the best lens for film making I would say go for the Canon 24-105 or the Canon 24-70. I currently use the Canon 24-105 on my skits.
 
Canon DSLR's are a good starting point, but with them I would recommend a better lens than the kit one, The Tamron 17-50 2.8 VC is a good replacement for this.
Although if you want a step up in quality a used GH4 may be a good choice. Or is 4K isn't that important a GH3 with a Metabones Speedbooster will offer the same field of view as a canon DSLR with a far sharper image and more light (can use lower ISOs to reduce noise) - Hope this helped :)
 
The GH4 is my dream camera... *thinks about the GH4* also if you are vlogging i recommend a wide angle. I use a kit lens and with a fully extended arm (human arm). and for decent framing it gets old fast.
 
I know how you feel I'm still using a 600d and would kill for an upgrade, we can dream Jake, we can dream...

Honestly I spend $600 on a canon rebel eos t5i and it's my baby. You don't need an expensive camera to do a good job, even a t4i would be good, because there's not much difference in the 5 and the 4, only some photography quirks, and if you're only filming, you should be safe. Hell, I even heard good things about the t3i, but it's a little meh, I would say get a t4i to be safe.

I got my Canon t6i 4 weeks ago for $529 (deal!)
