Looking for an external mic...ANY SUGGESTIONS??

Hello there,

My name is Ashley and not only am I a vlogger, I also am currently working at a film internship in London.

I've been looking for a good mic that will up my game for the run-and-gun style documentaries I've been shooting recently. Ideally something easily portable, that can be attached to the mic jack in my Canon t3i. I quite fancy getting a Rode mic, but I was wondering if anyone here had any other recommendations.

I use a zoom witch is nice as you can use it when your filming some thing further from the camera.

From what I think you're saying, I believe (like you said with the Rode mic) a good quality shotgun mic would suit you well.
