Longest video editing time

The 'New Mexico Roadtrip' videos that started it all took weeks to edit. I had something like 8 hours of raw footage to go through, and I had to teach myself Vegas while I was doing it. I probably worked on it for 4-6 hours a day for 2 weeks.

I'm a lot faster and better at editing now, so I can turn a video around in a much shorter amount of time. An average video takes 5-7 hours to edit these days. My most recent one took 2 weeks to write, but it was only a couple of hours of editing, all said and done.

Lol.. Each video takes me 40+ hours to edit. And I have to make one every week. After doing this for a couple months, you'll want to quit youtube. Last couple ones took 50 hours to make.

I feel it really depends on the type of content u make and the level of knowledge u have about the software you use [emoji4] TBH it doesn't really matter, just as long as you are having fun doing exactly what you enjoy... [emoji109]

Probably would have been somewhere between 5-10 hours, hard to tell really because I sometimes edit over multiple sessions and don't really keep in mind how long I am editing for.

Longest time for me was about 5 hours. Took from about midnight to 11 am, that was because I was uploading on mobile.

The longest time I've spent editing a video is for a short film I've been working on. It's still in progress...

My most recent video which was uploaded just a few hours ago. I was having a huge problem where i couldn't get the facecam and the mic audio to sync properly. I believe i spent at least 3-4 hours editting just that alone lol. Seems like the more you have going on the longer it takes to edit.

It takes me around 4-5 hours to edit a vlog. This includes everything from importing everything to right before rendering, which then usually takes me around 15 minutes for a 1080p video.

I usually enjoy it since I'm laughing at all my outtakes :bounce:
