Logo in Thumbnails

Okay I'm thinking of making thumbnails with a logo on them for all my videos. If I were to do that where would be the best place to put this logo? Use the picture as a reference. The logo would be about the size of the circles and the numbers represent the different places for the logo. Where would the best place for a logo be?

Always do number 3.
Everyone puts the icon there, others look wierd. Or do the grey box.
Plus if that were a thumbnail, your icon would be WAY too small, I'd recommend increasing the size.
 
I agree, number 1 spot.

Research has shown the people tend to scan in a Z pattern, and you've numbered pretty perfectly along that pattern :)

The grey box is the time code box that YouTube seems have now and it is computers and mobile. So I figured 4 and 5 would look weird and would be hard to position, but I left them as options to hear what people think. And yes I will probably make my logo bigger, this is just a mockup and I realized after making this that my logo will probably be bigger?

Another thing. I plan on using the in video programming and use the same logo in my videos as a watermark. These always appear at number 2. So I was wondering if it would be weird having a thumbnail with the logo somewhere else and in the video the logo at the number 2 spot?

Ah I forgot about the time-mark. Then 3 definitely. Yeah I'd post the watermark right at 3 as well.
remember your real icon watermark is in the number 2 spot already. So it'd be beneficial to put it across the already-made watermark.

You response confuses me a little. Which do you think is better for the thumbnail 2 or 3? Remember the in video programming is always at 2 and can't be changed.

You have a watermark of a cow icon in your trailer video. so I thought it'd be best to put your new watermark in section 3.

Actually this is for a new channel I plan on launching sometime (hopefully really soon) that has nothing to do with cows. I have been on YouTube for a long time uploading crappy videos (and if you've seen them you'll know) and I want to have a new well branded channel with quality content. The logo in the thumbnail is just something I want to do to make my branding stronger and I want to know the right place to put it and hear what other people think. But I think I will go with number 3 for the watermark, thanks for the help.
