Logo and banner software?

Hello everyone. What program have you been using to create your logo and banners? I have an idea of a logo but have no clue what program to use. Please help!
 
A lot of people use Photoshop, GIMP, Paint.net it is really personal preference and down to what you use.
 
Should I get the subscription or get a physical copy of Photoshop? I'm looking to take things up to the next level.

Whichever works best for you. I subscribe personally because it's more affordable in the short run since it's a small slice of money every month. It works out as more over time but the fact that it's just a smaller each month makes it easier for me because I can't save money to save my life. Plus I like the subscription model. It's just what works best for your personally financial situation :)
