Live or Post Commentary?

Would it be better to use post commentary, or live commentary? With post commentary, I can kinda plan out, and re-record if I mess up my audio. But with live commentary, I might run out of things to say, and if I mess up, I have to record the entire video all over again! Will someone with a successful gaming channel please give me advice?

I guess it just depends on you, but I personally think that unless it's a "let's talk about something" video then live commentary would be better. You could always cut out parts where you derp up, that's what I do.
